The Oxfordshire FA, Witney

(Completed 2013)

This project for the OxfordshireFootball Associations headquarters in Witney was completed in 2013. We were appointed to review the contractor’s proposals and carry out a due-diligence check with regards to the mechanical services associated with the fit out of
new office accommodation. Duties also include site inspections to monitor the progress of the works and a final snagging inspection.

Private Housing Projects:


Grayburn Close, Buckinghamshire

(Completed 2013)

This project included for the demolition of an existing property to facilitate the construction of a new five bedroom detached house in Buckinghamshire. Services provided by ourselves included designs for a gas fired heating system serving underfloor heating and radiators, heat recovery comfort cooling, mechanical ventilation, boosted domestic water services, water softening plant and public health designs. (Approximate project value £1m).


Walton High School – Drama Block

(Completed 2013)

This project involved the remodelling of the existing drama building to provide more flexible accommodation for the school. M&E services included the modification and rebalancing of the existing underfloor heating, mechanical ventilation, lighting, power, data  and fire alarm installations. (Approximate project value £150k).

John Hampden Grammar School (Completed 2013)

Our duties for this project completed in 2013 were for the provision of M&E employers requirements. From our performance specifications and drawings the contractor designed and installed all M&E services including gas fired heating, local extract mechanical ventilation, domestic water services, lighting, power, IT/data, class change, fire alarm etc. The completed project gave the school a new enlarged entrance area, new library facilities plus additional teaching and staff accommodation.(Approximate project value £350k).


Waterside School

(Completed 2013)

Waterside School was handed over to the client in 2013. The project included extensive internal alterations to existing areas of this primary school in Buckinghamshire to provided increased and improved teaching accommodation, office space, WC provision and stores
etc. The M&E services included alterations to the existing heating, domestic water services, drainage, lighting, power, fire alarm and data services etc. (Approximate project value £375k).


Prestwood Lodge School 

(Completed 2014)


To facilitate the construction of the new build Vocational Centre

extensive diversion of existing buried gas, water,

power and telephone services was required. All diversion works were carefully co-ordinated with the various utility companies to ensure the works were complete in-line with the overall contract programme. (Approximate project value £1m).

Halton Combined Community School

(Completed 2013)

The staff and pupils at Halton School are now enjoying the full benefits of their new facilities following the successful handover of this project. Facilities include new entrance area, office space, enlarged assembly hall and kitchen space. M&E services included underfloor heating, naturally ventilated assembly hall,domestic water services, lighting, power, fire alarm etc. (Approximate project value £750k).



PSB Consulting Engineers (Oxford) Ltd


Sorbon Estates, Beaconsfield (Completed 2013)

This project included the design of a new high efficiency heat recovery comfort cooling system to serve an existing second floor office area within the headquarters building of SorbonEstates. All external plant had to be carefully selected to take into account the tight plant space available. As part of the scheme a new lighting installation was fully designed as well as modifications to the power and data provision to suit the proposed desk arrangement. (Approximate project value £250k).


Brookmead School 

(Completed 2013)

Brookmead School was handed over to the client at the end of 2013. The project included the enlarging of the existing assembly hall, creation of a new library area and WC provision together with the full refurbishment of an existing eight classroom teaching block. M&E services included underfloor and radiator heating, naturally ventilated assembly hall, domestic water services, lighting, power, fire alarm etc. (Approximate project value £1.2m).

Walton High School – Gym (Completed 2013)

This project involved the creation of a new gym facility by converting existing redundant teaching spaces. The facility provides cardiovascular machines, weights, free weights and muscle resistance apparatus for use by both staff and students. M&E services included the design of new high efficiency heat recovery comfort cooling system, mechanical heat recovery ventilation system, domestic water services, drainage, lighting, power, fire alarm and data services. (Approximate project value £200k).


Commercial Projects:


Kemp & Kemp, Abingdon (Completed 2014)

Full refurbishment of a Grade II listed building to provide office accommodation for Kemp & Kemp. All plant and equipment had to be carefully selected in conjunction with the client and architect to complement the surrounding into which they were to be installed. M&E services include gas fired radiator heating, local extract mechanical ventilation, domestic water services, lighting, power, data/IT, fire alarm, intruder alarm etc.

Home Farm Close, Surrey

(Completed 2014)

This project included for the demolition of an existing property to facilitate the construction of a new six bedroom detached house in Surrey. Services provided by ourselves included designs for a gas fired heating system serving underfloor heating and radiators, heat
recovery comfort cooling, boosted domestic water services and water softening plant. (Approximate project value £1.5m).

 


This project was completed over two phases, in general:

Phase One: A new build Vocational Centre to provide

practical teaching spaces with associated offices and WC’s. M&E services included new gas fired boiler plant serving underfloor heating and fanconvectors, mechanical ventilation, domestic water service, photovoltaic panels, lighting, power, fire alarm, CCTV etc.

​​Phase Two: Internal refurbishment of existing teaching and staff accommodation areas to create thirteen new student en-suite

bedrooms with associated common rooms and kitchenettes. M&E services included radiator heating, local mechanical extract ventilation, booster domestic water services, lighting, power, fire alarm, CCTV etc.
